Kate Thorpe Therapy

Hello, and welcome to my website.  My name is Kate, and I offer Therapy, Hypnotherapy, and Coaching services in Glossop, the High Peak, and the North West and other surrounding areas.  I also work via webcam online for those not within travel distance, or outside the UK.

 

One in four?

Life can be difficult and stressful, and it is no surprise that one in four of us will suffer from some form of mental health issue over the course of our lives.  People from all walks of life seek therapy for a multitude of reasons.  Whatever your reason, it is important that you find a therapist who is right for you.

 

Quick fix...

With very few exceptions, there are rarely any “quick fixes” or “miracle cures”.  Your emotional healing may take only a very few sessions, or it may be a longer, ongoing process.  Because you have unique life experience, personality, and character, there is no “one size fits all” therapeutic solution to life’s problems, and you will respond to different forms of therapy in your own, individual, way.  Whether you simply wish to talk and unload, or you prefer a more directed therapy, or you wish to learn self help strategies to support yourself in achieving your goals, or whether you have a multitude of issues or just one thing that you wish to deal with, I will work with you in the way which best suits you, so as to ensure that you achieve the best outcome from your therapy.

However short or long your journey, I will provide a confidential, non-judgemental and calm space in which you can express yourself openly, and explore your issues and emotions safely.  I will guide you and help you to unlock the answers and resources which, most likely, already lie within yourself.  In this way, you can take positive steps towards a healthier and happier future, however you envisage that to be.
